I had a blast interviewing author Brian Kellow about his new biography of the legendary film critic, "Pauline Kael: A Life in the Dark" at the Tribeca Y in downtown NYC. My husband, Ray Sawhill, interviewed Brian with me. Both Ray and I were close friends of Pauline's so we brought that perspective to the interview. Brian has written a wonderful biography, which beautifully describes the woman I knew -- and also gives details about her life that I didn't know (Pauline was famously private about her personal life and her past). It's already in its second printing after only being out for a few weeks and can be bought at bookstores and on Amazon here.
